Nice to meet you. My hometown is Kyoto. I like to travel all over the world. It is wonderful to see and know other overseas cultures.
I spent a wonderful afternoon with Hiroyuki. I wanted to see Godzilla in Roppongi but didn't have any specific plan besides Godzilla. So Hiroyuki prepared a great afternoon, I discovered Ueno with lots of beautiful temples plus a traditional market. He planned everything so well and I'm really thankful to him for this experience. We visited an Amezaiku shop (japanese candy sculpture) with beautiful candies and some of them were even portraits. I tried japanese rice crackers and the soy cracker tasted really good. I also tried mochi, I thought I didn't like it but I guess I never tried the right ones ^^. The mochis were delicious. We also stopped by a cafe specialized in chestnut flavored desserts and Hiroyuki was so nice, he even invited me. We went to a restaurant and I had the opportunity to try a tasty okonomiyaki for the first time. He even managed for us to arrive on time to Godzilla (every thirty minutes it was illuminated and there were sound effects too) it looked really cool.
I definitely recommend Hiroyuki as a host, he's a really nice person and it's interesting to talk to him. We had lots of fun together despite the hot weather. I'm really thankful to him and if I come back to Japan I'll try to book another activity with him :-)
Hiroyuki was an awesome guide and showed me parts of Tokyo I wouldn't have seen exploring on my own. After some misscomunication on my part he went out of his way to meet me at a convenient time and place and took me on a tour of the 'real' Tokyo. He's got loads of suggestions on the best places to visit and really planned the day around what I wanted to see. He also took me to an amazing Sushi restaurant for dinner.
I can't recommend and thank Hiroyuki enough for a great day and I'll certainly be contacting him next time I'm in Tokyo.
Hiroyuki was an amazing tour guide! He showed me around the most beautiful spots to see the cherry blossoms tree's at night. I really enjoyed seeing cherry blossoms with him. He also helped me learn some tricks on how to take better pictures with my camera.
Hiroyuki is surely an awesome guide! From the very beginning when I first contacted him, he was extremely enthusiastic in helping me finding the best places to visit in Tokyo. Whatever silly question I have, he would try his best to get the answer. After several days of frequent communication, I already felt like he is a friend. He took me to a class of tea ceremony, and then on another day, to Gotokuji temple and all those shopping places. The weather was terrible, but we had a wonderful day! I saw so many beautiful places and learned a lot about Japanese culture.
I'm really grateful to have made such a nice and kind friend like Hiroyuki :)
Lots of Tokyo locals know what to do in Tokyo. Asking local people is the best way to discover the perfect travel destination!
If you have a chance, you should visit another historical place to enjoy Japan too.
Hello. How long are you planning to stay in Tokyo?
