Yuka was great! Really warm and friendly! I was interested in eating at an izakaya and was late meeting her up! T-T but she was still very courteous and we ate at the izakaya, tried yakiniku and sushi! I would def recommend Yuka as a guide! I had a great time! :)
Mariko was a great guide! She took me around Akihabara and went above and beyond to help me look for some specialized products! I was looking for Neo Geo MVS carts and unfortunately one store was closed for the day I made the booking but we got to check out another store AND she sent me information on other gaming stores around Tokyo after we had met up! She's pretty much what any Japanese sub-culture geek would be looking for in a guide! (Which I am very much a part of) I would highly reccomend Mariko for a tour of Akihabara, she knows the "ins and outs" of it very well.. which Akihabara can be kind of overwhelming (I know I was overwhelmed) the first time you go there. I went back 3 times after we met up, lol. Thanks again Mariko!
Mami was amazing. I was traveling alone in Osaka and wanted to sit down to eat and drink with someone, I'm glad it was Mami! We went out to eat okonomiyaki and finished up at an izakaya both places were a great experience, food-wise, but ultimately I feel no matter how great the food is being able to share your food with good company makes for a better memory. That kind of sums up my experience with Mami we sat, drank and ate talking about the "quirks" of life. We shared a lot of the same philosophies and point of views and I'm grateful that I was able to create that memory with Mami on my trip. I would HIGHLY recommend Mami as a guide, where ever she may be, she listens, is educated, has a funny sense of humor and you can tell she has a good heart. So, thanks Mami, I appreciate you!
