The largest statue of the God of the Earth: 烘爐地(Hunglodei)

Summary:
Hunglodei, which is also known as Nanshijiao Mountain, is the highest scenic point in Zhonghe District. It is home to many temples and a massive statue of the God of the Earth, the largest in Taiwan and built by benefactors of the 260-year-old Nanshan Fude Temple. From the top you can see the Taipei Basin, Taipei 101, Guanyin Mountain, Datun Mountain, and the Danshui River. It is also a great place to view the city at night.

Schedule:
We will take taxi to Hongludi. At Hongludi there stands a 78-meter high local Earth God statue, which is the largest one in Taiwan and serves as the landmark of Zhonghe City. We can venerate God and draw lots at the temple. If you are hungry, you can eat the stinky tofu and the fish ball soup. Then we can go to see the best night view in Zhonghe.
