Binondo, also known as the Chinatown district of Manila, is the oldest Chinatown in the world. Binondo Chinatown was first established in 1594, but has historical roots that predated Spanish colonists. With festivals and key points in the year, Binondo Chinatown is a great place to grab some cheap Chinese food and witness the uniquely Chinese side of Manila.
Local Tips and SecretsWhat special advice do you have for travelers visiting Binondo (Chinatown)?
If you wanted to grab generic things at a good price and you don't mind the crowd, this is a great place to practice your bargaining power. My niece whose going to get married this 3rd of July have her gown made here and it looks fab at a very affordable price :)
