Visiting to Cu Chi tunnel helps you know much about war period in the South of Vietnam. It is different from other museum where you just watch war remnants, war victims, war weapons,people in war....through photos or models.
On the contrary, at Cu Chi tunnel, you can experience the part real feeling of war because you can visit to real tunnel to know how many difficulties Vietnamese people have to suffer to fight and do daily activities in Vietnam war.
Later on, the model of liberation area will bring you to the Vietnam's 1960s. Though it's called the model but it's the real one, very visual and you can feel the very peaceful atmosphere.
This trip is very suitable for you guys if you are a group of 3 plus (because we will travel by taxi, so you guys can share the taxi fare). If you are not a group of 3 plus, let have a look my another Cu Chi tunnel tour in which we will travel by public buses.
Transportation: by taxi and on foot.
Include: a local tour guide (me, of course!!) a Vietnamese bread with pork or chicken, vegetable, butter, pate,...for breakfast and a cup of Vietnamese coffee (we will stop have breakfast and coffee at a local shop which is in front of the main entrance of Cu Chi tunnel). Tapioca with peanut for lunch (but just slight meal), and a glass of sugar cane which we will have after the tunnel trip.
Exclude: Cu Chi tunnel entrance fee: 110,000 VND ~ 6 USD/pax; two way taxi fare: 1,400,000 VND ~ 67 USD; two way bus fare: 12,000 VND ~ 0.7 USD/pax.
Duration: two way taxi takes about 2 hours, two way bus takes about 1.5 hours, get around Cu Chi tunnel and the liberation area: 2.5 hour, get around Notre Dame Cathedral and Center post office: 1 hour.
