One of the best way to stay away from chaotic Saigon is to catch a bus and get away to the outskirt. And Cu Chi tunnel is an ideal choice.
This spot is a touristic place but at the same time, you can enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of the countryside, it's a bit quiet but really fun to visit.
On tour with me, you will have opportunity to come to Cu Chi tunnels by local bus. Meeting up at Ben Thanh market, then we take 2 buses to get to the tunnels. On the way, it's really interesting that you could see real countryside in HCMC with large green paddy fields and water buffaloes, etc.
Though it is a bit far and takes long time to reach but you will have amazing moments to see, to feel the pasts through some activities such as crawling through the tunnels, visiting pagoda, try gun-shooting, etc. Wartime is then presented in front of your naked eyes.
