Welcome to Ho Chi Minh City! there are many nice coffee shops across every street including rooftop ones w great views. There is much unique food here: bread,Phở and many kinds of cake made from rice :)). They are very interesting. HCMC is very nice w many department stores, souvenir shops w good price,... :)

Btw, I will arrive around 11pm on 29 may. As a tourist, is it safe to take a taxi to the hotel?

Hi Catherine, It's safe to take a taxi to your hotel. Firstly you should check the taximeter,may be the taxi driver'll cheat and ask you a higher cost. Be careful when using cellphone and separate your money.

Yes, it is safe. I suggest some popular taxi such as: VINASUN, MAI LINH.

You can take VINASUN or MAI LINH taxi and make sure to check the taximeter.

If you get in a taxi and the taxi driver negotiate with you about the price instead of using the taximeter, I think it is fake taxi and you should not take those kinds of taxi.

Yay, Dont forget to try Phở when you come to VietNam. It's our traditional food lol. HCMC have so many coffee shops that you can choose.
Here're some recommendations:
Mien Dong Thao Coffee shop
Window Coffee shop
Country house Coffee shop
Gac Hoa Coffee shop
Especially, Café Bệt ( Vietnamese used to go there and enjoy coffee haha)

Hi Catherine, just to make sure the usual charge of taxi from the airport to Dist.1 is 100,000-150,000VND, no more than that. I should be able to take you around on 29th May rather than 30th May. Look forward to hearing from you soon.

it is easy to take taxi at Tan Son Nhat Airport.but you should go saigon air taxi,vinasun taxi or mai linh taxi...that are good choice...it is 7 km from airport to ho chi minh center...it costs 120.000vnd (7usd)...i hope to see you!
