I am on a journey toward (practical) minimalism...eliminating the unnecessary to have time, space and energy for what I value. I am trying to apply this principle to every part of my life, from my living space to my time commitments to my diet and more.
My husband and I enjoyed spending time with Hideaki. He responded to all our emails promptly and was right on time at the designated meeting place. Before heading to Kabuki-cho, he showed us this back alley jammed with old-style wooden bars filled with businessmen eating, drinking and smoking. It was like something out of a movie (the first part of Gremlins came to mind). My husband and I would have never found that place on our own--we never even knew it existed--but we are glad Hideaki took us there. (We even went back the next day with our nicer camera to take more photos.) We then proceeded to Kabuki-cho. Hideaki pointed out some of the different entertainment establishments as we strolled around. Hideaki was very easy to talk to--relaxed, personable--and his English is amazing. It was like hanging out with a friend. (Part of that may be due to the fact that we are all around the same age.) I would recommend Hideaki to anyone looking for a "local" in Tokyo.
