I love to travel and I'm very lucky to have a job that sends me to a lot of amazing places. The only problem is I have very limited free time and when I do have time it is awesome to be able to find a local guide to help me see something. I love to try local foods and learn about the culture. I'm not a fan of museums or places that are full of thousand of tourists. I love markets, people watching, walking down streets I have never seen, enjoying things with local guides that the average tourist may never get to see.
Work and Education:
I came to Japan on business but I had a couple of free days to spend in Tokyo is so huge that you can just spend hours trying to figure out how to get to different places so having this site is so helpful with guides like Kazu who really know their way around Tokyo. Kazu even came to my hostel to pick me up which I really appreciated as it was my first day in Japan and everything was still a little confusing. Two of my coworkers joined us and he was very patient with us as we tried new foods and saw new things. He took us to the fish market and helped us to pick a good and affordable place for lunch (much appreciated)and then we went to Shibuya. It was just great to have someone with us that really knew their way around. Thanks Kazu!
I came to Japan on business but I had a couple of free days to spend in Tokyo is so huge that you can just spend hours trying to figure out how to get to different places so having this site is so helpful with guides like Hideaki who really know their way around Tokyo. We went to a very good ramen place and then he showed me around Shinjuku and the little local bars where men sit and drink and eat. It was amazing to see these. He also took me to the hotel where lost in translation was filmed (even though I am sure he did not like the movie he was still happy to do this). I was so excited to see this place and to have a drink and see the view from the bar in which several scenes took place. I really enjoyed talking with him, he is very kind and easygoing. Thanks again and hope to see you again one day!

We did a tour of a depachika in Ueno and around a market in Ueno. It was so much fun and very interesting. Sayoko is very sweet and easy to talk to. She was very patient and was great at explaining things. I really enjoyed trying all the food and seeing the different kind of fish for sale in the market. Thanks Sayoko, hope to meet you again!!!
