This day trip would be great If you've already traveled all over Bangkok. And you are finding some place near Bangkok to explore.
Today, our destination is Sai Noi Waterfall in Kanchanaburi, the province located 128 kilometers to the west of Bangkok. We will take the train from Bangkok and during the trip we will pass many interesting places. Those are Phra pathom chedi ,the Bridge on the River Kwai and the World War II Death Railway to Myanmar.

Hualampong
From Bangkok you can take the train. It leaves from Hualampong (Bangkok railway station) at 6.30 am during weekends and official holidays. Take this train and Let's go!
Around 7.45 am, we will reach Nakorn Pathom province and visit Phra Pathom Chedi, the tallest stupa in the world at 120.5 metres. It is far from the station around 500 meters and we have time around 30 minutes to walk around and eat something. Then get the same train to Karnjanaburi.
Around 11 am, we will reach Bridge on the River Kwai in Kanchanaburi. This bridge became famous all over the world, when it was featured in movies and books. And also there is beautiful nature, the surrounding mountains and valleys.
We can enjoy here for a while, take a picture and buy something to eat and drink again before continue travelling around 2 hours to get the last station.

Before we reach the destination, we will pass Krasae Cave where is the area of "The Death Railway".The highlight of this trip. This railway built in World War II stretched for 415 kilometers from Thanbyuzayat in Myanmar to Nong Pladuk in Bangpong District in Ratchaburi province in Thailand.
But do you know? This beautiful railway was the reason that more than 16,000 prisoners died during the construction. Because of sickness, malnutrition and exhaustion. How sad it is......

Finally we reach our destination, Sai Yok Noi Waterfall! And we can spend time here 2 hours before go back to Bangkok.The train will leave around 3.00 pm and reach Bangkok around 8.40 pm

1. Prepare some water and snack for eat during the trip
2. Sit on the left side of the train because you can the better view when you reach The Death Railway
3. You can go to the back of the train when you reach Nong Pladook station for taking the best shots.
4. The ticket is 120 Baht and you don't need to pay more during the trip. You just bring some money for buy food and water. It is not more than 200 Baht.
