About Ushiku Daibutsu : recorded in the Guinness Book of Records as the tallest bronze Buddhist statue in the world at 120 m (394 ft) high, or equivalent to a 38-story building (three times the size of the Statue of Liberty.) It weighs an incredible 4000 tons and was built in 1993. We can take an elevator to the viewing gallery at 85m, from where there are beautiful Mt. Fuji views on a nice clear day.

This trip is not only for people who would like to see and go inside of buddha, but also for someone who is interested in rural parts of Ibaraki prefecture allowing us to experience local train and bus.

Please make sure to ware the conformable walking shoes.



Schedule:
8:30: Meeting time

9:00-10:30: ①Train from JR Ueno Station to JR Ushiku station ( about 60 min)
②Ushiku station to Ushiku Daibutsu bus station ( about 30 min)

10:30-13:30: Exploring the garden, pet park, Sutras writing, Lunch

13:50~15:30: Going back to JR Ueno Station
