Misa is a wonderful host. With her help, we were able to gain valuable insights to the country and the culture of its people. I am new to Tokyo and staying in Kabukicho, I had no idea where to find the best food and shopping in the area. Misa who lives in the area, shared gems of information with me. I was so honoured to be invited to her house. Gracious Misa prepared a Japanese tea ceremony and pretty cakes. I went prepared with some local products from Singapore and I was glad to be able to also tell her more about my country. I greatly recommend this tour with her. Thank you Misa.
We had such a great time on Misa’s tour! We went around Shinjuku/Kabuchiko first, saw things we’d never have seen without her. She’s a local so knows the area inside out. She’d prepared her own handouts for us, showing the places we visited on her tour… they were very helpful and have made great souvenirs :-)
We then went to Yanaka, old Tokyo... such a contrast to the very modern Shinjuku. Loved Yanaka, wandering through the traditional area, and finished by visiting a famous confectionary shop where the artisans make their beautiful creations as you watch.
Misa is a lovely person, speaks excellent English, and we hope to keep in touch with her and her family. I highly recommend her tour.
Misa, thanks again!xxxx
Misa-san is awesome. My family of 9 arrived over half an hour late (Misa, I apologize). Misa changed her plans to find a place for the older members to rest. She then continued the tour with the younger members. She also did some impromptu translating for my father. Even after 2 years in Japan, her tour was extremely informative. I highly recommend.
Misa gave an excellent tour. She and her friends Hanae and Sayoko welcomed me very graciously.
Together we walked through some quiet neighborhoods that showcased a more tranquil part of Tokyo.
They were very accommodating and made sure to go to areas that I wanted to see.
We had lunch at a cozy little restaurant. Overall I would definitely recommend Misa for anyone interested in seeing the different faces of Tokyo.
