Places to Guide: Ghibli Museum

I take you to "Ghibli Museum" in Mitaka, Tokyo.

ABOUT THE MUSEUM: If you like Ghibli series by Hayao Miyaszaki, for example Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind, My Neighbor Totoro, Princess Mononoke and Spirited Away, I really recommend to go there. You can experience a lot of Ghibli world. The museum really is unique and like a film studio and it has the rooftop area where you can see The Robot Solider of Nausicaä. Furthermore, there is a gift shop, you can find a lot of Ghibli items.

HOW TO GET THE TICKET: You must get it in advance. Getting tickets is a bit of a hassle. Tickets are not on sale online and on the day, they sell by unique system in Japan. The museum is very popular. Availability of a ticket depends on the schedule. So, please tell me your schedule first! I will try to get your ticket :) This activity price '$40' includes a your ticket fee.

HOW TO ACCESS: You go to Mitaka station, take the JR Chuo Line. Then from the Mitaka South Exit, you walk along the Tamagawa Josui "Waterworks" to the museum approximately 15 min. A Community Bus is also in operation from Mitaka Station to the Museum.

KEEP IN MIND: Photography and video recording are not allowed inside the Museum.

Thank you very much for the guide to museum, meal in Shinjuku, good view on the top of city hall (I’m glad it’s free!) and shopping, walking near明治神宮(although it was already closed) in Harajuku, my friend and I really had a great day with you!

I like Totoro and animation made by Hayao Miyazaki since my childhood, when i saw Gaku provides this activity and can help me to buy the ticket, i was so excited since although I've already been to Tokyo many times, I couldn't get a chance to get reserved ticket, every time was sold out!! ><
The museum is located near a big and beautiful park, we took bus from subway station to the museum (if it’s real cat bus, it will be better) and Hayao Miyazaki lived there before, that made me can imagine he is drawing and creating a fantastic story in front of me!

After visiting museum, we went to find something to eat and walked around, it was good to have Gaku because “communication” is always a problem for me to find good food and place in Japan… thanks Gaku and I’ll definitely ask my friend to book Gaku’s tour if they go to Japan!!
