Hi, I will visit TW from 25/08/2012 to 01/09/2012. My objective & itineray is similar to Isac..relax & in touch with TW culture. Anyone can design for 1 couple in trip? Also please recommend good hotel or 山水自然民宿. Thank you.

If possible, I would like to visit any famous buddhist centre.

I will suggest you visit 中台禪寺 when you go to 日月潭 and you might need to stay over night there.

It is impossible to check out those places during 25/08/2012 to 01/09/2012.
Suggest you to focus on North TW first. Some recommends to you as below

1. 九份/平溪/十分 (民宿:緩慢民宿)
2. 陽明山/擎天崗/小油坑 (下午茶: 19號咖啡,蒙馬特咖啡/夜景:屋頂上,草山夜未眠)
3. 野柳/北海岸 (下午茶:輕輕吻咖啡 在淺水灣)
4. 象山可見整個台北盆地,順遊松山五分埔,慈祐宮(廟)
5. 台北市區 捷運可達
a. 四四南村 順遊好丘咖啡
b. 永康街 冰館,青田咖啡,大隱酒食
c. 東區巷弄逛街,好樣下午茶,阿才熱炒
d. 碧潭踏青
e. 萬華(艋舺)+龍山寺(求姻緣)
f. 故宮+忠烈祠(看衛兵交接,忠烈祠比中正紀念堂走的長)
