I will recommend the makati area yes I will look and try for that don't worry I'll guide up to the hotel where you check in...I was wandering and hoping that the date you wish to go is not heavy rain...because june -august and up to sept. sometimes is rainy season...you're not alone how many of you?

And John it is possible to hire a car and a driver too....my best idea for you to go is first the corregidor it is a day tour...then the taal volcano and tagaytay in batangas and if it's more time ; to a place in batangas which rarely visited by many but known by local and resident of batangas...it's an hopping...and drop to manila sites and malls

intramuros is in the front of your hotel any time of the day you can go there as well as luneta and fort santiago....

how many days do we need each corrgidor & batangas?

ok John..corregidor tour takes only one day but you can stay overnight or more days.There is a hotel and restaurant in the island so you have no worry...entrance fee , ATV , kayaking ,zipline and outdoor activities were you can view beautiful sunset and stroll...each activiy has a separate fees.and going to corregidor is aboard of ferry or cruise for just one hour..set of departure time6AM ,8AM and 2PM..an hour ahead of departure must be on the location for the boarding check...on batangas it takes 2 days or more it deoends on your desire as there is no problem with the hotel to check in..on going to taal volcano it takes 11/2 hrs by horse (horse is with charge)footwalks it takes 2 or more hrs to reach the mouth or crate of the famous smallest volcano in the world .to taal volcano must bring something to eat along the way for there is no restaaurant or store on the mountain .then stroll the tagaytay with park and activities...then if can be possible will go/proceed to fortune island(not familiar to most)for hopping...but must check the weather because your travel set is at the rainy season...so I must look for alternative in case it is rainy..and take note: wear light and casual clothes , a hat ,sun glass ,backpack and camera offcourse for picture picture....
