Summary:
Jakarta was initially known as Batavia back in the Dutch colonial era. In Jakarta, there is a special district, which has the most powerful history of Batavia, called Kota Tua. The popularity of Kota Tua has gone up due to its lovely location and the many heritage buildings. In which, some of the historical buildings and monuments showcase the beauty of old Jakarta that would make one’s thought wanders to the past. Same goes to the city’s multitude legendary dishes that truly reflect Batavia’s long and immense stories. Started on Glodok area, which is condensed with Chinese elements, this four-hour food tour will take you to several places in the neighbourhood before it ends right at the heart of Kota Tua.

Taste various legendary foods with us on this food tour. We will guide you to discover numerous local street foods, let you take a seat on traditional transportations, and have a nice lunch at an old restaurant with old Batavia atmosphere.
