Love to travel and see new places, find out what's similar/different, and, not the least, to eat delicious food. Photography is a big hobby, mostly nature/landscape but don't mind a city or two between.
Anh was kind enough to get up really early to do a tour before she got to work, starting with a stroll through a park watching people while she introduced vietnamese life. Then on to visit a traditional morning market (where I was the only tourist), followed by breakfast (noodle soup of course), before dropping me off at a pagoda with very clear instructions on how to get back. She is very nice and friendly and genuinely cares that you have a good time throughout your trip.
Huyen is very friendly and happy share insights in many aspects of life in HCMC and Vietnam and how it is to live/study/work here. We visited some sights, had very good (and huge) vietnamese lunch, then off to chinatown and temples before ending with coffee. The day involved lots of motorbiking, a pleasure to just flow through the sea of vehicles while she handled the craziness very safely.
I felt instantly comfortable with Tam, she is one of the most easygoing, open and joyful persons I've met. After a quick view of the post office we went to a nearby park where there are lots of local youths and spent some time talking about everything vietnamese and how it compares to other countries, supported by delicious streetfood. Highly recommended.
