Likes photography, reading, movies, travels and food.
Sayoko met me at the hotel.. It was Sakura week and I wanted to see some cherry blossoms..
She brought me to Rikugien Gardens, a traditional Japanese garden which was very beautiful but unfortunately, the cherry blossoms and shed..
So we went onto Yogogi Park.. now this was really crowded! It was filled with picnickers and also had performers dancing and singing.. It was a real treat.
We then went onto Ueno for a Tempura lunch in a very small place probably run by husband and wife.. It was great!
Lastly, I needed to get some special Hokkaido biscuits for my son.. We went to Daimura at Tokyo Station. It was a different version but I am sure he will like it..
It was a great trip with Sayoko. She managed to do all the things that I needed to do in half a day..
It's great to have a local guide as language is a problem.... highly recommended.
Thanks Mariko for guiding me through Akihabara and Nakano Broadway.
I met her outside Gundam Café at Akihabara..
My son, an Otaku, had given me a shopping list for his anime cards, picture board and T shirt.. and being unable to speak the language, finding them would be difficult.
Mariko guided me to the shops that they could be found and I managed to get all the items.. My son will be very happy when I get back with them!!
Thanks again Mariko
