Wellington, New Zealand
Hey I'm from New Zealand on holiday for a few weeks and have no idea what to do or where to go in Tokyo. I like eating, drinking, socialising, music and lots of other stuff. Just here to have a good time on my holiday really.
I had a great time hanging out with Asari and her friends, she was an excellent guide. I hadn't eaten when I met her so she found some great food for us to eat before the gig. We then watched a range of different bands ranging from punk to pop rock, they really interesting and amazing performers. We then went and drank at a blues bar with a number of the musicians. Thanks heaps for the great times Asari!
Mariko gave me a terrific tour of Akihabra! First she showed some popular shops selling anime figurines and models. We then had lunch at a tempura restaurant before going on to a variety of other stores. I told Mariko I was interested in old console games and she took me to a very cool store selling old consoles and console games that I never would have found on my own. She also took me to a famous robotics store where I was able to buy a cheap robot souvenir and even helped me buy some medicine as I was feeling a bit sick that day. I highly recommend Mariko for anyone who wants to check out Akihabara!
I had a great time with Hideaki. He took me to a fantastic Ramen restaurant that I really enjoyed and he told me lots of things I didn't know about Japan and Japanese culture. After Ramen he also gave me a quick tour of the Kabukicho and some other Shinjuku areas. I highly recommend Hideaki for a revealing and interesting tour!
Had a great time hanging out with Shinya! First we went and ate and drank at a nice restaurant/bar type joint. Shinya negotiated a great deal so we had lots of cheap drinks. Then he took me to a great hip hop and house club in Shibuya, where we hung out and partied for hours! More like hanging out with a friend than a tour guide A+
