Taling Chan Floating Market is utilized by locals and frequented by less tourists than a few of the more famous markets near Bangkok (like Damnoen Saduak and Amphawa). Also, it’s closer to central Bangkok.
Here you can enjoy a great seafood lunch sitting on the floor with the locals, ride a longtail boat around the nearby klongs (canals) , do a bit of silly shopping and a lot of food tasting. You can even get a Thai foot massage under the trees.
9.00am meet at Siam bts station (could be changed) take a bus number 79 heading to Taling chan floating market.
10.00am shopping souvenir and try local snack
11.30am enjoy a great seafood lunch, som tum, and many mores sitting on the floor with locals by the canal
1.00pm ride a longtail boat around the nearby klongs (canals) , visit temple and orchid garden, see the real locals lifestyle along the canal
4.00pm back to Taling chan floating market. end your little day trip with Thai foot massage under the trees.
The Taling Chan Floating Market is open on weekends from approximately 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
So... This activity is available only on weekends.
There are different ways to get to Talingchan floating market. You can choose the one which is suited for you.
1. Meet at Siam bts station then take a bus number 79 for 1hour or so.
2. Meet at Talad Plu bts station then get a taxi for about 150฿
3. Meet at Democracy monument on Ratchadamnoen road then take a bus number 79 for 20minutes or so.
