There are many local cheap markets around - depends on what you want to buy. Local inexpensive food is also everywhere you look - many street vendors and even the restaurants are not expensive. There are a lot of clubs - and a few of them feature "mixx" (but you have to remember this is Thailand and a lot of their "mixx" is local - not American, British or even European.
As far as Crossfit - there are a few places - but the exercise scene in Thailand is vastly different than anywhere else I've visited. Most Thai do not participate in exercise just to exercise - they do sports. There are a few gyms you could go to and several of the parks feature exercise equipment scattered about them (I go to one just off of Phrom Phong near my apartment). You CAN bicycle around Bangkok - but you need to know there is heavy traffic on most roads and you need to be VERY alert.

The boat canal tour and chilling - those are EASY compared to the exercising and bicycling... lots of great places to visit and drink a beer or cold coffee and people-watch.
