1. Eat some sweets and buy souvenirs along the main road, Nakamise.

2. Go to top floor of the Asakusa Tourist Center to get a good view of Tokyo Sky Tree

The Asakusa Tourist Center not only has an assortment of helpful information for tourist that show the best things to do in Tokyo, but it also lets you take an elevator up to the 8th floor. From the wooden terrace, you can get a great view of Tokyo Sky Tree, the Asahi Beer building, Sensoji Temple, and the Kaminarimon gate.

3. Buy a ride from a Japanese man in traditional clothes, pulling a rickshaw cart.

These men line up outside of the Kaminarimon gate, offering tourists personalized tours on the back of a man-powered cart. While often hailed as the best thing to do in Asakusa, these rickshaws can be rather expensive. Make sure to check price before you get on, the Asakusa rickshaw carts typically have a set price on a signboard so you can plan your tour accordingly.

4. Eat some Ningyo-yaki

Asakusa is famous for ningyo yaki. This snack is batter that is fried inside an intricate mold, such as a fish, an animal, or a Hello Kitty face. While typically filled with anko red bean paste, ningyo yaki in Asakusa is something filled with chocolate or custard cream. If you are still hungry, go to one of the many Japanese restaurants in Asakusa for dinner.

5. Get your Omikuji Fortune Told
